Post Title: Child Rights & Participation Officer

: Inverness
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term - 1 year
Salary: £32,814 - £36,727 p.a.

Job Purpose: To nurture an environment where the voices, views and experiences of Highland’s children and young people are at the heart of decision-making. You will embrace the vision and values of The Promise and play a central role in facilitating and developing participation and engagement activities for children and young people, whilst ensuring VOICE is embedded throughout service delivery alongside independent advocacy.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications at SQA level
  • Experience of successfully working with children and families with a strong ability to engage and develop effective relationships with an understanding of ‘Looked After’ care.
  • The issues affecting children and young people in care or with experience of care and the Children’s Hearing System
